  Are the buttons on the remote supposed to be difficult to push? I have to push so hard that it hurts my fingers.

  Cayman? I haven't even tried remote yet. Mobile app works so well. Remote is just a bridge between iPhone and motor. I would consider to use remote only when raining a lot because touch screen is not optimal then

  Shouldn't be that hard. Mine isn't. Press till you hear the beep or see the motor direction change. I think direction changes don't beep but speed changes do.
